NFL Week 13 Takeaways

After A Series Of Naps And Re-watches, Here Come My NFL Week 13 Takeaways.

Many Of The NFL's Higher Profile Teams Hit Their Bye This Week. No Baltimore, No Bills, No Vikings, Not Even A Bears Matchup That Always Matters Because Of Justin Fields's Conversation And The Number One Pick In The Upcoming Draft. Instead we Got A Handful Of Revival And A Rain Delay.

Fans got a, let's say, a less robust lineup of games, but the NFC playoff picture that most prognosticators deemed set continues to shake up with the Rams and Packers securing big wins. Big Wins This Late In The Season Usually Mean Big Losses Like The Ones The Chiefs And Steelers and browns Suffered. The AFC Playoff Picture Continues To Shuffle. The Dolphins, However, Took Care Of The Commanders Fairly Easily. If Joe Burrow Didn't Suffer A Major Injury Cincy Vs. Jacksonville Would've Had Landscape Shifting Implications. Instead, We Got Trevor Lawrence Versus Jake Browning For The Fate of the AFC's Top Seed.

Bengals Vs. Jaguars

No matter Who's Playing Quarterback For The Bengals, Getting The Ball To Jamar Chase, Or He Usually Knows How This Receiving Game Works. After Light Outing Internal The Last Game, Zach Taylor Gave Jake Browning A full installment Of Plays And Eerily In A Dobbleganger

effect Browning Looked Similar To Burrow.

Browning showed that having the most talented group of receivers in football has perks. Browning Goes 33/37 For 354 Passing Yards And A Passer Rating of 115.5. Browning Started The Game on 12/13 For 125 passing Yards And Had His Way With The Jaguars Secondary Early. The Bengals Offense Put Together A Series Of Haymakers On Their First Touchdown Drive, Starting With A 17 Yards Strike Jamar Chase(On A Nice One-Handed Jump Grab). Browning Hits 26 Trenton Irwin For 26, 24 To Tyler Hudson, And 14 To Tee Higgins To Place The Bengals Within The Ten Yard Line Before Joe Mixon Caps Off The Drive With A Touchdown. Jamar Chase Had A Massive Game. The Combination He And Browning Didn't Get Off To A Strong Start In Their First Game, But Against A strong Jaguars Secondary, Chase Hauled In 11 Catches For 149 Yards, 76 Of Chase's Total Outcome On A Catch And Run Over Jaguars Corner Tyson Campbell. Chases Show He's Back To Form After Struggling With Injury.

Tee Higgins Returned From Injury 3 Catches For 36 Yards. Browning Disnt threw an Intercept, but Tyler Boyd added a turnover to the Bengals' stats. In The Fourth, the Game Tied 21-21. Coach Zach Taylor Called a wide Receiver Bubble Screen With a Passing Option For Boyd. With No Options To Pass To Down Field, Boyd Acted Both Rational And Bafflingly. Heights Located The Check Down, Joe Across The Field Diagonally but Standing In The Way of Big Jags Edge Rusher Josh Allen, Who Had A Monster Game, 1.5 Sacks, A Tackle For Loss And An Interception. Allen Picks The Ball And Set The Jags Offense At The Foot Of The End ZONE. The Bengals tried a similar play late in the first quarter on an around-to-chase.

Chase Averted Catastrophe By Passing The Ball Back To Quarterback Jake Browning, Who Takes A Tackle For Loss And His First Reception In His Second Game As A Starter. The Loss Drops The Jaguars Out of The AFC's Number One Seed Spot. The Jags Also Lost Trevor Lawrence In This Game To Ankle Injury—Those Ankle Injuries Usually Prove Fatal, But Early Reports Suggest Otherwise— Lawrence Has Battles Injuries All Season, Including An Ailing Knee.

Receiver Christian Kirk, Who Injured A Groin. Kirk Left In The First Quarter Of The Game, But Lawrence Suffered His Injury Late As The Jags drove to Win The Game. Not Only Does Lawrence Get Scak And Injured, But Kicker Brandon McManus Misses A Chance To Give The Jags The Lead. Instead, The Bengals Take A Short field and Convert A Long 54 54-yard lot Off The Power Mad Leg of Evan McPherson. That Power Mad Les Of McPherson missed An Earlier Field Goal But Through Late In Overtime.

Lawrence Left The Game 22/29 For 258, Two Touchdowns, And A Passer Rating Of 125. 4 But His QBR Of 54.7 represents a More Telling Figure Of His Play This Game. Lawrence also leaped or jumped over his offensive line for what counts as a rushing touchdown. With No Kirk, 6th round Rookie Parker Washington Steps Up. The Penn State Product Washington Grab An Impressive Touchdown Pass Form Lawrence Internal The Back Of The End Zone. Washington Finished With 6 Catches For 61 Yards. Evan Engram leads the Jags With 9 Catches For 82 Yards And Leads The Way For the game-tying field Goal Drive. CJ Beathard Takes Over For Lawrence And Finishes 9/10 For 63 Yards. Beathard Runs Out Of Gas In The Overtime Thanks To A Penalty. Browning, However, Hits Chase Twice, and Joe Mixon Churns Forward To Set McPherson Up For A 48-yard field Goal.

The win Keeps The Bengals Alive In The Eternal Fight For one Of The AFC Wild Card Spots.

Falcons Vs. Jets

The Falcons Enter Week 13 and are Looking To Gain Space Between Them And The Saints In The Division. In the NFC South, all three divisions' top candidates have held the crown, and one game could flip the standings. A Game Against the Jets And Their Tough Pass Defense Could Turn Out As That Game. The Falcons Squeeze A Little More Between Them And The Saints As The Race To Face The Dallas Cowboys In The Divisional Round Continues To Crystalize. The Falcons take home an ugly victory in a game where the Jets lose their now-starting backup quarterback Tim Boyle, and play out the game with Trevor Semian. The Jets Out Gain The Falcons in Total Yardage(259-194), But Atlanta Produced Three Turnovers And Skate By on A Tepid, Restrained Performance By Desmond Ridder To Come 13-8 Over The Jets. The Falcons Recover all Three Of Their Fumbles. Atlanta's Offense Didn't Accomplish Much With Those Possessions, two Field Goals, A Touchdown, A lot Of Punts, and Just Three Yards per Play. Both Defenss Played Strong. The Falcons Sacks Any Quarterback Wearing A Jets Uniform. Tim Boyle left the game, finishing 14/25 for 148 and one Intercept 5.9 attempt. Other Places The Jets Offense Falters Breece Hall, 13 carries for 16 Yards Total.

The Falcons Rough Out The Win, But No One In The Division Looks Any Stronger, and The Saints Blew What Looked Like Their Best Game Of The Season Against The Lions On Sunday.

49ers Vs. Eagles

Most of the power rankings posted by the more prominent media outlets have hosted the Eagles. As the top team in the league, with a 10-1 record, who can argue in any other team's favor? The Niners look Like The Best Team In Football Thus Far. The Niners' Defensive line Has Peaked. WhatsApp: The Eagles' defensive achievement feels godly, but since the addition of Chase Young, the Niners have tied with the Eagles for fifth in pass rush win rate. The Niners Pass Defense Also Ranks Fourth In Passer Rating Allowed At 77.1, Number In Points Per Game(15.5) and 2nd In Rushing Yards Per Game(82.0) Coming into This Matchup.

One Thing is For Sure: Jalen Hurts Will Make A Play That Either Secures The Game Or Shifts The Tide Of the Matter.

Watching Jalen Hurt Stand In The Pocket, bounce around, wait for Target To Open, fall, and get Touched Sack, and get up Looking Over At The Crowd, be Confused, and Epitomized This Loss For The Eagles. The Niners Completely Obliterated The Eagles 42-19. The Eagles Looked Spent. Yes, The Niners Outplayed Their NFC Rival On Every Level. The Eagles Started To Get Thimg Rolling In The Past Game. Jalen Hurts Connected With AJ Brown For A Short Catch and A Long Run OF 36 Yards On A Slant A Go Beating Chardavius Ward.

He Couldn't Hit Brown In The End Zone With Chardavius Ward Drape All Over The All-Pro Receiver Earlier In The Quarter. The Eagles Did Find Some Success On Their Initial Two Drives Of The Game But Buckled Under The Force Of The Niners' Defense. Hurts Started The Game 10/15 for 116 Passing Yards, But they Could Only Generate Two Field Goals.

Despite nearly 50 Dropbacks, Hurts And The Eagles' Offense Never Established a Rhythm. Every Other Play Featured Hurts Rolling Out Of The Pocket And Looking For Miracles Downfield. Like Too Many Times This Season, The Eagles Didn't Run Deep Enough. The Eagles Thrive On Finding Ways To Win, and Today They Couldn't Find Any, The Niners Had All The Answers. The Eagles' Defense That Started The Game Holding Sands Fran Scoreless Couldn't Keep Up As The Niners Revved Up Their Engines.

On the other end, Purdy started the game at 0/4 and completed his first pass in the second quarter. Purdy Completes 6/7 Pass For 71 Yards And A Touchdown in One Drive. Purdy completed The Contest 19 of 27 passes for 314 yards, 11.6 yards per attempt, Most Of Which Came After The Catch—His Averaged 5.9 Completed Air yards —with four touchdowns. Purdy 32 Yard Catch And Run To George Kittle and A 14 Yard Catch And Run To Deebo Samuel, Both Throw at or Behind The Line Of Scrimmage. That Theme Carried On Through The Game. On The Niners Fourth Touchdown Pass, Deebo Choose Violence, Taking A Short Pass, Breaking An Arm Tackle And Taking Off To The End Zone For 48 Yards. The Niners Tucked The Game Away.

Everything for the Niners worked in synchronization as the Niners Took ten plays to climb 90 for the game's second touchdown. Deebo Samuel would Work After The Catch While Kittle And Aiyuk took Advantage Through The Air. Christian McCaffrey Added A Touchdown On The Ground As The Eagles Tried To Keep Their Offense From Falling Apart. McCaffrey Finished With 17 Carries For 93 Yards, 5.5 A Carry, And three Catches For 40 Yards. McCaffrey Had a 15-yard Run Late In The Third, Where He Shifted Pass Two Tackles And Speeds For Almost Breaking the Space-Time Continuum. He Finished With 28 Yards Over Expected.

The Niner's coverage Group Delivered Hard Hits On Pass Catches

Holding the To A Pretty Slow, Two Field Goals By The Eagles Representing The Only Sign Of Offensive Life Into The 2nd Quarter.

The Niner's defensive Line Only Sacked Hurts Three Times But Generated Enough Pressure To Keep The Eagles off balance. The Niners once stopped the "Brotherly shove" before succumbing on the second try. Roger Goddell Will Ultimately Put an End To The Playoffs Entirely.

Hurts still Delivered On The Eagles Final, Hitting AJ Brown And Devonta Smith For Big Game. Brown finished his first 100-yard game in a long while, eight cats for 114 yards, and Smith 9 cats for 96 yards.

The Niners Scored Two Touchdowns In The 2nd Quarter, And The Deluge Of Touchdowns Didn't Stop Raining On The Eagles Until The End Of The Game. The Eagles Tried To Keep Pace With Their Third Quarter. The Third Quarter Torment Started With A Big Splash Play To Christian McCaffrey For 33 Yards, and Deebo Samuel Takes Care Of The Rest On a 12 Yard Rushing Touchdown.

49ers Receiver Deebo Samuel Said This week That He Hated The Eagles, And He Came Out And Played With His Disdain, Powering Him As He Ran Through The Eagles' Defense. Deebo Samuel finished the game with 4 Cats for 116, two touchdowns, three carriers for 22 yards, and a touchdown. The Niners Go On To 21 Unanswered Runs To Close the Game. The Niners Still Stand A Game Behind The Eagles In The Standing But exacted Some Revenge For the Lost They Suffered In Last Season's NFC Championship Game. The Eagles' Offense Has To Find Better Ways To Generate Yardage Besides Slant Routes And Out Routes By AJ Brown and Devonta Smith.

Lions Vs. Saints

The Lions' Offense Amd, Jared Goff, in Particular, Has struggled These Past Two Weeks. Sure, they've Scored 55 while giving Up 53, But Six Turnovers In Two Weeks. The Lions Overcame Goff's Woeful Luck Against The Bears In Week 11 But Couldn't Capture Back Comeback Wins After the Loss To The Packers. Slow Starts Had Plague, The Lions In Those Games. Still, Against The Saints, The Lions Shook Off Any Idea Of Their Season Mythos As A Contender. The Lions Jump On The Saints With Three Touchdowns In The Game's First 7 Minutes, All Over A Saints Defense Struggling To Project The Top 10 Mystique As Their Playoff Chances Slipped With Every Goff Completing butler The Lions Quarterback Didn't need Many. As The Lions Started Their Fourth Drive, Goff Completed 5/7 For 77 Yards And Two Touchdowns. The linebackers, in particular, Struggle to meet the Lions' combination of Sam La Porta and Amon-ra St. Brown. The Lions Opened Up The Game With A "Traditional" 7 Play, an 80-yard drive Finished By A David Montgomery Rushing Touchdown To Put Detroit On The Board 7-0. Detroit's Next Two Touchdowns Required Just Six Plays For 71 Yards. A Derek Carr Interception On His First Pass Attempt Of The Game Set Detroit Up At The Saints' 17, And From There, Goff Made Easy Work Of The Saints' Secondary With A 13 Yard Connection To Rookie Tight End Sam La Porta. The Saints' first complete Script Of Plays Generated Just As Much As The First, With The Added Benefit Of A Punt After A Quick Three, And That Started With a Bruce Irvin Sack Of Goff Which Propelled The Saints Back 10 Yards. The Lions In Possession Of The Football, Goff Completed To Passes Which His Receivers Converted Into Explosive Pass Plays. Sam La Porta For 29 Yards To Set The Lions In Saints Territory, Then A Short Slant To Amon-Ra St. Brown, Who Works Himself Off Of A Linebacker And Scoots To The Endzone to Push The Lions Offense Out To 21-0 Lead. Outside Of The Dolphins And Lions, Most Of The Early Sunday Games Struggled To Score Points. The Saints's defense did turn things around by entering the second quarter, giving just one first down and forcing three punts, and at least nursing the Scoreboard as the offense finds their collective selves.

The Saint's Offense Gets On The Board After Carr Redeems Himself By Orchestrating A 13 Play 80 Yard Drive That Featurd Big Down Foeld Plays to Rookie AJ Perry For 20 Yards and A 24 Yard Pass To Chris Olave, Which Set The Saints Up In Red Zone Territory Where Carr Connects With Tight End Jimmy Graham, Still Working As The Ultimate Red Zone Mismatch For The Saints After all These Years. Riding Some End The Half Momentum The Saints Make This Contest A Game. On 10 Play 80 Yard Drive, Carr Regains Composure And Continues To Rain Deep Passes Down Field Against The Lions Secondary, Hitting Olave Again, This Time For 33 Yards To Set up Alvin Kamara Rushing Touchdown. Olave entered the Week On The Injury Report With A Concussion But Made The Active Roster, And He Impact-fully Influenced The Saints Offense. The Saints Charge-Back. Taysom Hill Punches In A One-Yard Rush. The Saints break down a three-possession game to three points and score two touchdowns in the second quarter before the Lions get a first down.

The Saint's Defense Begins To Play Underneath And Force Goff Off Of Those Short Throws Or Into inaccurate Ones. Eventually, Ben Johnson Cracks The Code, Dialing up A Big Play For Tight End Sam La Porta, Who Had a Monster Game Of 7 Catches 125 Through The Third, and The Lions Tack On A field Goal Their Lead. I Thought Detroit would Use Jameson Williams To open Things Deep With His Speed. Instead, They Use Williams At the End Of the Run Game As The Lions Take A Saints Fumble And a Favorable Field Position To push Their Lead Back To Double Figures. The Saints, however, Find One More Touchdowns In Them. With No Derek Carr, Who Left Midway Through The Fourth Quarter After Taking A brutal Hit Finishing 17/22, 226 Yards, Jamie Winston Steps In and With His First Pass Hits Chris Olave For Another 30 30-yard play. Detroit safety Brian Branch Tips The Ball Right Into The Hands Of Olave And Sets Up An Alvin Kamara Touchdown—the Epic Comeback Will, However, Fall Short As The Lions Pull Out The Thriller. The Lions' defense saved their best for last, stopping the Saints on down with 3:01 minutes left on the clock. Goff And The Offense Would Take Over. Facing A. Third down And 7 With The Threat Of Giving The Ball Back To The Saints, Goff Hit None Other Than Tight End Adam Laporta For 10 Yards. Laporta Finished A Big Game With a Game 9 Catches For 140 Yards. Goff hits Josh Reynolds for 12 yards (Reynolds's only catch of the game), converting another third down and sealing the Lion's win. Carr's Injury invoked the Depressingly Palpable Vibe That surrounded the Stadium.

Just As The Game Began To Turn In Carr's Favor, Just As Heights Looked Like The Guys The Saints Coveted, Just As His Season Began To Turn Around, Goff Finished 16/25 For 213 Passing Yards And two Touchdowns With A Passer Rating Of 117.6. The Saints Offense Had A Good Game. The Saints out-gain The Lion by a few yards, 362-347 yards, and Olave 6 cats for 119 yards. Taysom Hill led the Team In Rushing.

The Lions' win Keeps Them In Play For The Top Seed Should The Eagles Show Signs Of Weakness In the Waning Weeks Of The Season.

Seahawks Vs. Cowboys

The First Thursday Night Game That Features Two Teams On A One Week Rest. One Of The Reasons Thursday Night Games Have Gained A Reputation As A "miserable quagmire of low-scoring, poorly played affairs" Is the Two Sacrifices: Rest And Preparation For Expediency(Not Clogging Up The Sunday Schedule) And Dollars(the Billions Amazon Paid For The Rights). Regardless, Thursday's Games Feel Better Suited For Any Other Day Than Thursday. Some Writers Have Gone As Far As To Suggest Thursday Night Football Hurts The NFL As A Whole. The Seahawks Don't Fall into The Realm Of Teams The Cowboys Mercilessly Steamroll. Seattle Owns A Record Better Than .500. ; Only The Third Team With A Winning Record The Cowboys Have Faced All Season.

Unfortunately, the Seahawks entered with the offense and struggled to find points, just three points last week against the Niners, and the Cowboys have never played the role of morale-boosting contest. The Cowboys Play With The Voices Of Critics In The Back Of Their Head And The Image Of The Niners and Eagles Ahead Of Them In The Standings, And If The Niners Tore The Seahawks Apart, The Cowboys Come To Prove they're Of The Same Cloth As The Best Teams In The NFC. The Seahawks Have To Protect Their Final Spot In The Playoffs. Geno Smith Has His Job To Play For Against The Fourth Best Defense. Geno Also Needs To Focus On Protecting The Ball. Heights Put A Couple of Pf Passes In Danger. The Niners Only Escaped Away With One Pick. These Cowboys Have A Rapacious Appetite For Wayward Passes.

Elsewhere Protection Could Prove Concerning, The Offensive Line The Niners Sacked Geno Six Times. Geno's Offense Also Hasn't Scored A Touchdown In seven quarters Since Taking a Quarter Lead In A 17-16 Loss To The Rams Two Weeks, a Total Of 20 consecutive possessions without an offensive TD, And Six Points In The Last 10 Possessions. However, You Compartmentalize The Game They Haven't Played Well. DK Metcalf Score Seattle's Last Touchdown Two Weeks and The First One Since. A lot Of Questions about Seattle's Offense. Injuries have Hurt. They lost Running Kenneth Walker last week, But Seattle Has yet to Produce Much In terms of Explosive Plays. The Seahawks Stand 20th In Explosive Pass Plays, But Right Out of The Gate, 73 Yards Catch and Run, Geno Hits Metcalf On A Short Slant Route, And One Of The Most Explosive Weapons In Football Does The Rest. D Added Another 34 Yard Splash Play On The fade As The Cowboys Played A lot Of Quarters Coverage To Prevent Splash Plays, But That Only Opened Bigger Gashes To the Corners For Seattle.

The Seahawks missed a Field Goal Off The Leg Of Jason Meyers, Who missed a Field Goal Against The Rams. Meyers' field Goal Against The Rams Came From 50 Plus, But This One From 42. The Seahawks Passing Still Exploited The Cowboys' Secondary Later. With Less Than Two minutes Left In The Half, This Time Matchup In Man. with Seattle Mounting Together One Last Drive, rookie Jaxson Smith-Njigba Who Struggled Early In The Season, Forces A Pass Interference Call In The End Zone On What Initially Looked Like A Touchdown. However, The Referee Reverse The Call After receiving it as Smith-Njigba Didn't Complete The Catch To The Ground. N Trouble With 7 Seconds To Go In The Half, Smith Strikes Tight End Noah Fant In The End Zone To Put Seattle On The Board 20-20, Field Goal Pending, But Wait Not Just Yet. The Cowboys Head Coach Mike McCarthy Calls Timeout. The Seahawks Line Up One More Time. This Time, DK Takes A Slant Route To The House. Mecalf Finishes The Half With three Catches For 108 Yards after Getting Locked Up Against The Niners. T e Connection Has Struggled In Recent Weeks With DK coming In Off Their Worst Game, But Geno knows He Has To Keep Feeding Metcalf The Seattle Offense Depending On Big Plays.

Seattle's Offense Also Forced A lot Of Penalties On The Cowboys' Defense.

From the Jump, The Narrative Ran: Geno Versus The Cowboy's Defense, Dallas Versus Their Mystique, and The Seahawks's Secondary. T e Seahawks Secondary, Giving A Big Opening Play To Ceedee Lamb For 23 Yards and Later For 19 Yards To Brandin Cooks. However, it buckles down near the end zone and strands the Cowboys at the Seattle 3rd Yard Line. D von Witherspoon Makes An All-Out Athletic Stop Against Dak To Block A Sure Touchdown. The Seahawks Secondary Break Up A Few Passes to Save A Touchdown, But Not For Long. The Cowboys Rank Sixth In Explosive Passing Play. A Fifteen Yard Touchdown To Ceedee Lamb Doesn't Count As an Explosive Play, But The Ball Traveled To The Back Of The End Zone Into The Leaping Acrobatic Arms Of Ceedee Lamb To Put The Cowboys Up 10-7. The Drive Stays Alive After A Big 3 And 16-yard Conversion On A Catch And Run By Tight end Jake Ferguson For 17. Jalen Tolbert Sets The Cowboys Up In The Red Zone after Earning A pass interference Call On Devon Tariq.

The Cowboys Score On All Four Of Their First Possessions of The Game And Internal The Process Ran 46 Plays, Including Two Drives, Ones Consisting Of 14 Plays Another 16 Play, and A Fourth Down Aborted By A Penalty, And The Cowboys Go Into The Half Down One For The First Time In Weeks. But Not Even A Clicking Seattle Secondary And A Suddenly explosive Offense Can Withstand The Rush Of Dak Prescott As The Cowboys Overpower The Seahawks In a Close Game That Came To The Last Score. The Seahawks Almost Pull The Upset. The Seahawks Added Another Touchdown To Their Lead Straight Out Of Half On The Strength Of Geno's Arm. H ights Comes Right Out Of The Half And Completes three Of His First Four Passes on His Way To Culminating The Drive With A Scramble Touchdown.

Two major Issues Cost Seattle In The Second Half And The Game. Without Starting Running back Kenneth Walker, The Seahawks Struggled To Sustain Anything, Resembling A consistent Run Game. The Seahawks Averaged 3.3 Yards Per Carry. L ad By Zach Charbonnet, Who Finished With 99 Total Yards Of Offense But Charbonnet Dealt Most Of His Damage With A 39 Screen Pass and Run That Set The Offense up The Five Yard and Two Plays Later, The Fifth Seattle Touchdown Of The Day Seattle Around The 14 Minute Mark Of The Fourth Quarter.

This Game Should've Proven A Bounce Back To Form For Geno. Instead, Seattle's Quarterback Had To Attempt 41 Passes, completing 23 Passes And Only Got worse With Completion Late Into The Game.

Smith Also Threw An Interception In the Second Half. He, Metcalf, and other Seahawks receivers torched Daron Bland for most of the first half (five receptions for 137 yards and a touchdown). Smith tested his luck too much against the history corner.

Bland Picks Off Geno Target To Tyler Lockett Returning Possession To The Cowboys For His League Leading Eighth Interception This Season; Those Out Routes Continue To Haunt Geno.

Smith does, however, get back at Bland on a three-yard touchdown pass to DK Metcalf.

The Magic Potion That Made The Offense Work Ran Out As The Seahawks' Offense Failed To Secure Three Fourth Downs In A Row To End The Game. "We Got Into A Rhythm Early. I Thought We Came Out In The Second Half and Started Strong." Smith Said, "I Wish We Would've Finished The Game A lot Better." Geno Credited His Protection For Their Play Up Front. Up front, the Cowboys pass rush generated pressure on at least 50% of Geno's dropbacks.

One Of Those Pressures Ends The Game As Micah Paraon Shoots Of The Line And Into Geno's Face, Forcing A Ground Ball. I Actuality The Game Ended two plays Late When Geno failed to Connect with tight End Noah Fant On A Crossing Route. Smith has to step into that pass and put the ball on the fant instead of Heights Lofts. The ball is short and misses three straight passes to end the game. I Like What I Saw From Rookie Wide Receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba. Heights Caught 7 Passes For 62 Yards. Overall, He Still Lacks the Level of explosiveness To Break Off the Show Of His Double Routes.

After A While, This Game Broke Down To Which Secondary Would Survive The Longest Series Of Played Without Incurring A Penalty. The Cowboys and Seahawks generated 19 total penalties, most of which came through pass interference and holding by both teams' secondaries. When The Seahawks Didn't Catch Penalties, they Had A hard Time catching Tight Jake Ferguson. Ferguson had 6 Cats, 77 yards, a touchdown, a couple first downs, and steamrolled Seattle's secondary for yards after the catch.

The Cowboys Got Just Enough From Rushing Attack With 4 Yards Per Carry across The Team, 136 Total Lead

by Running back Tony Pollard With 6.8. Dak Got In On The Action, 7 Carries For 23 Yards. C edee Grab Two Carries For 30 Yards All To Complement Dak Aerial Assault Waves. Prescott attempted 41 passes, completed 29 for 299 yards, and had three touchdowns. S attle's Pass Rush, However, Gifted Dak with Four Sacks. The Cowboys Need to Have Success Made This Game. Dak completed 70% Of His Passes And Rallies The Cowboys In This Contest And A First Win Against A Team With Winning As Things Stand. The Seahawks Will Lose Their Spot In the Playoffs And Fall To 37% To Make The Second Season After The Loss. Their Focus Turns To The 49ers, But Their Fate rests with The Packers, Who Remain Alive For A Wild Card. The Seahawks Struggled To Run The Ball Against A Cowboys Team AverAge at Defending The Run.

Broncos Vs. Texans

The Broncos Picked The Right Time To Get Hot And Go On A 6 Game Run. Technically, A Team Can Never Pick The Wrong Time To Get Hot. The Broncos Have One Of The Easiest Schedule Remaining In Football and Now Look To Complete One Of The Most Illustrious Turnarounds In NFL History. Last Season, All The Attention Sat On the Russell Wilson Trade. The Deal Looked Like An Abject Failure, Especially In Contrast To Geno Smith, Who Took Over For Wilson In Seattle. S ith When On A Revival And The Bronco Looked To "blow it up" 15 Games Into The Season. But Not Just Yet. Denver Tardes a First-Round Pick To Secure Sean Payton From The Saints: a New Leash, A New Era. The Broncos Gave 70 Points In A Loss So Ghastly and embarrassing for weeks. The Loss looks inescapable, And No Matter What They Did, The Results Would Stick With Them.

"We learn from it, grow from it, and move on." Cornerback Pat Surtain Said A Day After The Loss. Surtain Meant Those Words Earnestly I Suppose, But A Historic Loss Gets Tattooed On A Team And The Psyche Of Fans. NFL Teams Believe Every Week Serves as a Fresh Start, And Through Weeks Of Fresh Starts, The Broncos Have Incurred An Entirely New Season. Both Teams Need This Win For Their Playoff Position. C Stroud Faces The Hardest Hitting Foe Of His Rookie Career; Expectations. Stroud's Name Has Floated Around In MVP Talk, But Heights Has To Secure Houston This Spot In The Playoffs, Where The Lost To the Jags Knock Houston Off Of That Playoff Platform.

The Texans Lost Tank Dell, The Team's Number One Receiver In This Game, And The Texans Entered The Season With One Of The Worst Receiving Groups In The League. In June, PFF said The Texans Had "no go-to player in the passing game," But Every Week, Another "Relatively" Unknown To Casual Football Fans Steps Up. W Saw a Big Noah Brown Game A few Weeks Back Against Tampa, and

Cincy. Dalton Shultz Step Into The Number One Mold as Wells. R ports Would Later Confirm The Texans Lost Dell For The Year With A broken Leg(Fibula).

Against The Broncos: A Top Ten Defense Over Their Five Win Streak.

The Houston Defense's Strong Pass Rush In All, Ranking Second In Pass Rush Win Rate, Got Big Play Out Of Their Secondary and Cornerback Derek Stingley Jr, The Former Number Three Overall Pick. Stingley picked off Russ Twice, which looked like a sure touchdown to Cortland Sutton. Instead, Stingley laid out and took the ball right out of the air—Stingley Finished With A 0.0 Passer Rating Allowed And 0 Catches Allowed.

Russ Has This Dangerous Habit Of Lofting Balls into Space and Hooing His Big Receivers to Make a Play. Unfortunately, This Habit Came Back To Bite Him And Snap. The Broncos Win Streak at Five After A 22-17 Loss To CJ Stroud and The Texans. R ss Throws Three Picks, The Final One Snatched Out Of The Air By safety Jimmie Ward In The Back Of The End Zone, And The Broncos Leave A Game Winning Drive At The Pick Up Station. The Texans' offense got out to a 13-0 lead in the second half and ended the half 13-3. The Broncos' defense held the Texans to three field goals inside the Broncos' red zone, but the Texans still managed two touchdowns.

The Broncos Sacked CJ Stroud Five Times, But The Pressure Put On By The Texans And Will Anderson Who Continues To Prove The Texans Right in Giving Up a First Round Pick To Move Up And Select The Bama Product. Anderson sacked Wilson twice and put pressure on that force Wilson into an error pass on the Stingley intercept, and Brian Cashman applied pressure on the last play. Anderson Finished With 8 Pressures And 4 QB hits. Wilson finished 15/26 for 186 passing yards, one touchdown, and three second-half interceptions. Russ uses his legs to convert a big fourth and two, and he looks poised to punch in another touchdown comeback.

His Tight End Did Fly Open In The End zone, but Those Texans DBs Closed That Window Like Two Magnets Pulled Together By A Force Of Nature.

Nico Collins Took Over The Top Texans Receiver Spot 9 Catches For 191 Receiving Yards Multiple Explosive Catches, Including A 52 Yard Catch And A 59 Yard Catch For The League's Most Explosive Offense." Nico's A Monster" Stroud Said After The Game. "lessing To See A Brother Ball Like That. H's Stepped When We Needed to." Stroud Hit Nico Collins

In The Back Of The End zone To Help put the Texans Up 22-10 And Polish Of The Win.

Stroud finished 16/27 For 274 Passing Yards, 10.1 An Attempt, and a 106.1 passer Rating. The Loss Close To Knock Denver Out Of Playoff Contention Nothing Takes Away What They've Achieved To This Point. The Broncos Remain In Play For A Playoff Spot In The AFC, But Right Now, The 7 Win Teams Have All The Keys To The Kingdom.

Colts Vs Titans

Since His Four Touchdown Debut Against Atlanta In Week 8, Rookie Will Levis's Momentum Has Come To A Halt. In his last four games, he produced just two touchdowns and added two interceptions, and the Titans have just one win in that span against the Panthers. O Sunday, Levis had his best game since taking over the Titans' quarterback spot. However, The Colts Now Own the Hottest Win Streak In The League This Season By Extending Their Win Streak To Four After Taking Down Tennessee In Overtime. Levis's Poor Play Recently Invited Some Questions About His Future And Whether the Titans Should Revisit The Quarterback position In The Draft, But Levis played great Today. He Got Into An Argument With DeAndre Hopkins On The Sideline Line. He fought Sack, Fumbled a Ball Into The Hands of A Colts Defender, Then forced a Fumble and recovered the Fumble Himself. L vis Played Winning Football. H got The Titans rolling early with a big hit downfield to tight-end Chigoziem Okonkwo for 39 yards.

The Colts Have Struggled To Stop The Run All Season, And Derrick Henry Caps Off The Opening Drive with 22 22-yard run. Henry Finished The Game With 21 Carries For 102 Rushing Yards, 4.9 A Carry.

Henry's powerful running helped put the Titans up 17-7 on his second touchdown after another significant completion to De'Andre Hopkins. T is one 27-yarder. Put the Titans at the foot of the end zone. Against this Colt's Defense, the Titans' run game looked revived. Tyjae Spears Finished 16 Carries For 77 Yards. The Colts, However Had Their Own Big Plays In the Store. Gardner Minchew Connects With Big Wide Alec Pierce In The End Zone For 36 Yards. Minchew Later Connects With Tight End Kylen Granson For 46 Yards, But the Play 80 Yard Drive Ends In A Fumble. Minchew fumbled on the sack, but Heights played his best ball of the season in this game. The Colts' offense would manage a field and head into the half-down four points.

Levis And Minchew Spent Most Of The Second Half Going At Each Other's Secondary. L vis Finished 16/33 224 Passing Yards, An IAY Of 9.3 and 6.8 An Attempt. H Tried To Take The Game To The Colts' Secondary. However, He Did Suffer Six Sacks And Invited Pressure That Stole the Drive Because He Held The Ball Too Long. Levis needs to learn not to hunt the big play down in and down out and instead play with Rythym, like his final drive in regulation where Heights completed multiple intermediate passes.

He secured a game-tying touchdown to Amos. The game is up 25-25 on the final drive of the second half. T tans's Kicker Nick Folk Misses The PAT.

The Colts D-Lineman Samson Ebukam And Keith Paye are Both Two Sacks. The Colts' run game struggled, not only due to the absence of Jonathan Taylor but also a stout Titans defense that nearly stuffed anything the Colts tried to deliver up the middle. The Colts, However, Got Major Assistance On the

Special Teams: Two Blocked Punts, One The Colts Recover, and Immediately Into A Touchdown, The Other Blocked Punt. The Titans' Defense Holds Up and forces A field Goal. The Colts take a six-point lead into the fourth quarter. The Titan's Defense Kept The Colts' Offense in Check Late, And Micnhew avoided turning The Ball Over On The Final Pass Of Regulation.

In the Over period, The Titans struck first With A Field Goal And Chewed Up About 6 Minutes Of Clock. Minchew Hits Receiver Alec Pierce For A 56 Catch That sets a Touchdown Strike To Micheal Pittman. Pierce Finished With 3 Catches For 101 And One Touchdown. M cheal Pittman 11 Catches For 105 And A Touchdown. Minchew Finished 26/42 312 with two Touchdowns. He Threw An Interception On Two Points that Titans DB Armani Hooker Converted Into Two Points For The Titans, But The Play Didn't Count As A Turnover. I Need to figure out What To Make Of This Colts Team. In the AFC Playoff picture, They Reside In The Lower half with The Steelers, Browns, and Texans, but I Don't Think They're As Dangerous As Those Teams. The Colts Have Taken Advantage Of A Good Schedule.

Patriots Vs. Chargers

Bailey Zappe's Handsome, at least, according to Ju Ju Smith-Schuster, The World's leading name In Quarterback, looks judgment. B ll Belichick Willow Has To Cross Zappe's Looks Off Of The Checklist Of Concerns Heights Has The Team Makes Another Round, Around The Quarterback Merry Go Round. It looks Like The Patriots Will Spear Another Piece Of Mac Jones Teaching Tape. Jones Has Fell To His Lowest This Season. S mehow, A Team Has Scored Less than 13.5 points per game this season, which Places The Patriots Above The League's Bottom In Offensive Success. Thanks Only To Bryce Young And Zach Wilson, Mackey Jones Nearly Escape Ranking Last In Quarterback EPA, And The Pats Rank Next To Cleveland At The Bottom Of Passing Grade In The League. Bailey Zappe Sports has a Passer Rating of 38.2 and a Passing Grade of around 34.0.

Speaking Of Smith-Schuster, He's failed To Live Up To The Billing The Patriots Expected When They Let Home Grown Talent Jakobi Meyers Walk In Free Agency And Instead Signed Smith-Schuster For The Same Money. S Far Through Eleven Games, He'snotched just 24 Catches( Good Enough For Fifth On The Team), 159 Yards Receiving, And One Touchdown; Meyers Has Proven The Best Receiver for The Raiders And had a 153.3 passer rating when targeted last week. The patriot Decision Makers, The Brain Trust, Have As Much Of This Lost Season On Their Shoulders As The Quarterbacks. T m Brady Used To Take Less Money To Ensure The Patriots Fielded The Best Roster, and His More Cap Conscious Efforts Kept The Team In Contention Every Season.

This Season, not Even the Goat's sacrifices Couldn't Turn Around. T is Patriots's Roster And Personnel Decision, More Than Anything, Could Cause Belichick The Job At The Helm Of This Team. The Chargers Need A Quarterback Problem. However, They May Have A Wide Receiver Issue Outside Of Kennan Allen, As no One Has Stepped In To Fill The Void Left By Mike Williams. Both Teams, However, Struggled With Offense Execution On Sunday.

Neither Team Showed Much In Terms Of Offensive Success, And The Chargers Fortunately Won The Field Position Game Thanks To Some Big Returns On Special Teams And The Turnover Battle After The Patriots Drive 13 Plays For 57 Yards Into Chargers Territory Only For Rhamondre Stevenson To Fumble. The Chargers And Justin Herbert Played As Though They Want To Enter The Top Five Pick Conversation. Herbert Finished The First Half Just 10/18 For 96 Yards While The Chargers Run Game only 1.6 Yards Per Carry. Facing This Patriots Defense that At Times Has Looked Like A Bill Belichick Defense, snuffing Out Screen Plays and Breaking Up Passes. Herbert Looked Human For Most Of The Game. The Chargers' offense picked play up in the second half and moved the ball better, but neither team scored another point. Every Drive Ended In A Punt. Rookie Wide Receiver Quentin Johnston Shows Some Improvement, But He Still Dropped Another Big Third Down Conversion.

The Chargers Won 6-0, A Very Tough Game To Watch. Keenan Allen led the Team In Receptions With 5 Catches For 58 Yards. J stin Herbert 22/37 212 Yards, and The Chargers finished with Less than 1.2. Herbert Struggled Because The Patriot's Secondary played The Chargers Well.

The Patriots, however, Secured The Real Victory With The Loss That Keeps Them On Pace For The Bottom. Bailey Zappe finished 13/25 141 Yards, 5.6 yards per attempt, and a 68.9 passer rating. Zappe Took Five Sacks.

The Crowd Cascaded Boos Over Zappe As He Left The Field At Half Time. The Patriots Rushing Attack Recorded 148 Yards On The Day. Led by Ezekiel Elliott With 17 Carries For 52 Rushing Yards. R amondre Stevenson Finished With 9 Carries For 39 Yards On The Ground.

Chiefs Vs. Packers

So Many Team

have decided to turn around their seasons late, and week 13 serves as the culmination of a week of growth, all colliding at once. The Packers scored A Major Upset Over The Chiefs On The Strength Of A Resilience Performance From Jordan Love And The Offense Making Big Plays. The Chiefs and Patrick Mahomes suffer a lackluster performance as the offense continues. They need help to offer options in terms of stressing the defense. Mahomes Only Completed One Pass Over 20 Yards In The Chiefs 27-19 Loss To The Packers. The Packers Now Own A Playoff Spot And, For The Second Season In A row, turn their Year Around. Love Finished 25/36 For 267 And Three Touchdowns. They Say Those Who Have Faith In Love Sometimes Go Stray; Well, Let's Welcome Those Wayward Souls Back. Love showed little regard for the Chief's well-respected defense style.
